Limerick SME Action Plan SME Owners Focus Groups

Limerick City and County Council are creating a new SME Action Plan for the city and county. Its purpose is to provide a framework which would lead to a stronger business ecosystem, conducive to sustained commercial success by SMEs.

Research and Dig together with Fitzgerald Power have been commissioned by Limerick City and County Council to assist with the plan's creation.

Stakeholder engagement is at the heart of the approach being taken. We have already run a series of SME owner focus groups and an online survey. Nonetheless, as we begin to create a set of actions we want to learn more about what it is like to run an SME in Limerick.

There are five SME specific focus groups that Limerick SME owners can choose from. All are in-person and take place on July 29th. Three will take place in Limerick City (venue: Civic Offices, Merchant's Quay). The other two will take place in Newcastle West (venue: The Yard, Market Yard, TBC).

The five focus groups are for SME owners from any sector. Attendance is limited to six people per focus group, with tickets being allocated on a first come, first served basis. All the events can be booked by clicking on the link below:

During each of the focus groups the following topics will be discussed:
-
What is going well?
-
What is not going so well?
-
Staff (talent pipeline, upskilling)
-
Enabling infrastructure (office space, warehousing, factory space, transport, water, energy, digital, housing)
-
